「英辞郎 on the Web」の和英検索が便利になりました
株式会社アルクが無料公開してくださっている「英辞郎 on the Web」の和英検索は、2000年4月13日まで、ごく一般的な前方一致検索しか行えませんでした（負荷軽減のため）。たとえば、検索語として「瞬時に」を指定すると、以下のようなデータしか表示されませんでした。

ところが、ＥＤＰが製作している和英辞郎のデータの中には、

というものも含まれています。
そこで、このように途中に存在する文字についても、前方一致検索で見つけられるようにするために、ＥＤＰでは和英辞郎の特別バージョンを製作し、2000年3月10日にアルク社に送付しました。
そして、2000年4月14日から、全文検索であるかのような検索が可能となりました。たとえば、「瞬時に」という３文字を検索すると、以下のように表示されます。
